Under our published methodology, fewer than eight reviews on a profile does not yet produce a smoothed index ranking — it’s an early signal, not a score.

How we handle reviews

Reviews on this site fall into two categories, and each one is labelled on the profile:

First-party reviews. Sent to us by a client (or their nominated representative) with consent to publish. Where the identity is verified we say so; where it isn’t, we don’t.
Third-party reviews. Sourced from public review platforms (Google, Yelp and similar). The platform is the publisher; we aggregate and attribute. Third-party reviews carry an Unverified tag because we cannot confirm the reviewer engaged that lawyer.

Any reviewed lawyer can post a right of reply, request a correction under our complaints process, or issue a concerns notice. Read the full review policy.

Every lawyer profile on this site has its own review form. Find the lawyer, open their profile, and use “Review” on the page. Reviews of an individual lawyer and ratings of their firm are kept separate, and every review is checked before it is published.

Verified client reviews open with our first founding-edition cohort.

We do not publish fabricated or anonymous reviews — anywhere on this site, ever. Reviews we collect ourselves are matched against a confirmed engagement record before publication, and carry a Verified tag. Reviews aggregated from public platforms such as Google or Yelp are attributed to their source and carry an Unverified tag, because we cannot confirm the reviewer engaged that lawyer. The two are never presented as the same thing. The first verified cohort goes live with our 30-firm founding panel.
